Hey all! Here are a few pictures from my first family session. I was so nervous! Up until this day I hadn't worked with a family that wasn't mine. I even told Jake & Kelly that I was nervous. Jake simply replied with, "Well if you are nervous then that means that you care." I immediately felt better.  They told me they wanted to focus mostly on their adorable daughter Lucy. She is a doll!!! Don't you agree? 

September 29, 2010- Day 91

I'm so comfy! Curled up with my blanket and watching a few good shows. It's so nice to have time to chill out and de-stress. 

September 28, 2010- Day 90

I was driving around today and noticed how colorful these were.  I like that they aren't the standard yellow.

September 27, 2010- Day 89

You know it's going to be a bad week when Monday isn't a good day. So Ally and I decided to hit up BWW. Beer and wings were good. Let's hope Tuesday is better. 

September 26, 2010- Day 88

This was my Sunday. Lazy day! Had a nice BBQ and watched football. I think they were watching the Cardinals for this picture. I know guys I'm over the Cardinals too. I'm ready for hockey and more football. GO BLUES!

September 25, 2010- Day 87

I had the best day today! I was honored when my friend Zana asked me to take her engagement pictures.  Zana and Rick were just as excited as I was today to get started. They were full of ideas and suggestions and knew just what they wanted. I think we all had a great time today. Enjoy your first view of your pics Rick and Zana. More to come soon! 

September 24, 2010- Day 86

This is how I feel at work when it is the end of the broadcast month, end of the quarter, and start of the political season AKA this is how I felt today. JUST KIDDING.  When it gets stressful one of my co-workers would always joke, Good things these windows don't open. When I walked by a cool vintage store with another co-worker I looked up and noticed the legs. I seriously laugh out loud. After the day we had. We knew how this felt!

September 23, 2010- Day 85

Can you believe it's the first day of fall? It sure didn't seem like it ! I'm excited about fall. I love seeing the beautiful leaves change, crisp mornings, pumpkins, apple cider, sweaters, and cute boots! So here is a glass of apple cider. Cheers!

September 21, 2010- Day 83

LET'S GO BLUES!!!!! Thanks Todd & Ash for inviting me to the hockey game. I had a great time. They lost but that's not important. I still had a good time watching and checking out the players that were sitting a couple of suites down. HAAAy Perron. I wasn't drooling or anything! I love hockey. I can't wait to go to more games!!

September 20, 2010- Day 82

Yummy dinner!!! Kim made me chocolate chip pancakes!  Or was we used to say when we were little, pana-cakes!!

September 19, 2010- Day 81

That storm last night kept me up! The lightning was bright and the thunder was so loud! I can't sleep well in thunderstorms. I woke up this morning and saw this outside. This poor tree. Last year the same thing happened to the opposite side.

September 18, 2010- Day 80

Today I had a photo session with Jake, Kelly, and beautiful baby Lucy. I was so excited when they asked a couple of months ago if I would be available for a session. Lucy was so calm and happy.  Look at her gorgeous blue eyes! Jake and Kelly informed me that Lucy loves Belly Time. As soon as they set her down she smiled and laughed! I had a great time today. Thank you Jake & Kelly for letting me take your first family photos!

Unfortunately this is how my day went after the session.  I was stopped at a light on Olive. I checked my rearview mirror and saw a car getting closer and closer and the driver isn't looking. BAM. He hits me.  I'm OK. I was just shaken up afterwards. Poor Raven!!! (That's what I named my car). 

September 17, 2010- Day 79

Tonight did not start or end like I planned it. Don't you love when that happens? I knew, just KNEW my pic today would be of the hot air balloons @ the balloon glow in Forest Park. Well I didn't plan for getting off work 1 1/2 late, hitting traffic on 40, and sitting on Lindell for what seem liked forever. After my awful parallel park job I started walking to the glow. As I was walking up the fireworks started so YES I missed it.  I'm so annoyed by this point!!! I somehow meet up w/ my friends and relief, a glass of wine later I'm finally OK. Maria & Roman offered to drive me to my car which was parked a mile away. On the way we stopped for a mini-night photo session.  AWWWW this is the exact spot where they said,  "I DO" over 1 year ago.

September 16, 2010- Day 78

One of my co-workers asked me after lunch if I'd taken my picture of the day yet. The answer was no. I figured I'd have time after work. Unfortunately a program that we use wasn't working right and I knew that it was going to be a longer night at work. As the sun was setting one of my co-workers told me to look out the window and reminded me to get my picture. So here it is the beautiful sunset from today!

September 15, 2010- Day 77

Winter is coming!!! I'm not ready. I really don't like being cold but I sure do love fires in the fireplace!!

September 14, 2010- Day 76

Today was so busy. I worked 10 hours, hit the gym, and managed to take a picture all before 10pm. I am tried! As I left work the sun was setting and I noticed these sunflowers smiling at me across the street. I'd never seen them before.  You can kind of see the pink and purple clouds from the beautiful sunset.

September 13, 2010- Day 75

Took a picture today of a pretty purple vase. The blue light shining through is from the TV. I wanted a little something extra. 

September 12, 2010- Day 74

I had fun today in Forest Park. Took pics and went for a run. It was a great day. I'm trying out an external flash for the day and wanted to get some practice in. I met up with Kim & Manny and we took some fun shots. Kim liked this bridge and it was a busy one! It's a little narrow but finally we got some time without the interruption of people walking past us.

September 11, 2010- Day 73

 Every American knows that this day means. Our world has change so much since 9/11/01. Everyone knows where they were when it happened whether it was work or school or somewhere in between. Kim & I were in Ohio headed to the airport when the Towers were struck. If we'd been on an earlier flight, Kim and I would have been in the air during the attack. It is such a scary thought. 

 I was with Kim today and we drove past our local firehouse and saw the beautiful American flag waving proudly in the air. I've always wanted to stop and take a picture of the Rock Community Firefighters and today was the day I finally asked them. 

I noticed that people were lined up on Telegraph with American flags.  I got home to find out that Staff Sgt. James Ide V is being buried today in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. Funeral services were held today for this solider killed in Afghanistan. He leaves behind a wife and two children. He was 32.

I want to thank these firefighters for allowing me to their picture. I also want to thank every firefighter, solider, and emergency personnel. Those who risk their life to keep me & every American safe, THANK YOU!!!!

WE WILL NEVER FORGET!!!!

September 10, 2010 Day 72

I love new fun areas downtown. I would so live here if I wasn't scared of moving to the city and didn't mind parallel parking. I saw this and my jaw dropped like OH so cute! I want to sit on that bench back there and read a book! 

September 9, 2010- Day 71

What a dreary day! The sad weather makes me sleepy! But I do love to fall asleep when its raining, so please Mother Nature, only send your rain lightly at night.  Thunder scares me and keeps me awake. Anyway, I wanted to capture the rain. I like they way the light from the neighbor's houses are reflecting off of the wet pavement.

September 8, 2010- Day 70

Can you guess what this is? A weird 3D image? A checker board? It's actually a shadow of the porch railing on the house. I was sitting outside tonight without a picture when I glanced back at the house and noticed the shadow. I had the shutter open for about 30 seconds. It seemed longer!

September 7, 2010- Day 69

My best friend Rachel is in town visiting from Hawaii!!!!!!!!! She brought her cute dogs, Sugar & Bella. They were both unsure about my camera. The slight click of my shutter definitely caught their attention. Isn't she sweet? I have to agree with Kim, she looks like the Taco Bell dog but way cuter!!! So we pulled out her Mexican blanket for a nice background!!

September 6, 2010- Day 68

It was such as beautiful day. Kim & I enjoyed the day by simply relaxing at a park.  It was nice not to have plans or feel rushed to be somewhere.  I love this weather! I don't winter to come!

September 5, 2010- Day 67

Today I went to the Greek Festival with Kim and stood in the longest line ever for the most amazing gyro!! A guy who was working asked us if we were looking for a table and I quickly said yes. He said, "Well I don't have one but follow me". Then he started asking people if they could move so we could sit. Kim and I were embarrassed and laughing.  When that didn't work he took us to a Reserved table and told these older folks that we were going to sit there.  Before he left he told us that we could sit there until someone kicked us out. We enjoyed the Greek music but left soon after we finished eating. We didn't want to be asked to leave the table! After the festival we headed to Soulard. It is so beautiful there! Below is the 9th Street Abbey.

September 4, 2010- Day 66

I took a drive today and stopped by my Aunt & Uncle's house for a little bit. It was nice to catch up with them. As I headed home I was attracted to the bright neon signs everywhere. So I stopped to take a picture and BRRR it is cooler!

September 3, 2010- Day 65

TGIF and I have Monday off work!! Wooo WHOO!!!! Believe it or not, the picture below is a booth. I really liked the colors and stripes. I felt kind of weird taking my picture as other people were eating around me but luckily they didn't seem to care.

September 2, 2010- Day 64

I love thunderstorms!!! I was so excited when they rolled through tonight! I got some cool shots! This one was my favorite. I've been wanting to get a lightning shot forever but the lack of rain and storms made that impossible. It was so fun getting these shots. I stood outside as the cool wind blew and thunder rumbled in the distance. Normally I'd want to run inside for shelter but I had to push those thoughts aside and get my pictures!

September 1, 2010- Day 63

I love happy hour! It does go by too quickly, I must admit.  After the day I had at work, I was ready for a drink or two. I met my cousin and we had a nice time catching up. It also helped that we got an amazing shot called a Scooby Snack!
