October 31, 2010- Day 123

Happy Halloween everyone! I wanted to share our pumpkins with you! From left to right Phil carved the Blue note, Crista carved the surprise face, I completed the Sleepy Hollow pumpkin, Kim finished the moonlit bat one, Manny had the fiery skull pumpkin and Phil carved the werewolf. I love Halloween! We had a family last year that mentioned how they look forward to seeing our pumpkins because they are always awesome. I don't think we let them down this year!

October 30, 2010- Day 122

So I had to work again this morning but afterwards I had to get some FRESH air. I headed to Tower Grove with my fellow co-worker, Ally for a much needed break. She pointed out this archway and I loved the tree! It's gorgeous. I wish we had a prettier fall! But if you look around you can find a few amazing trees!

October 29, 2010- Day 121

After a looooooong day of work I was completely exhausted on Friday. I had absolutely no time to get out and get a pic. I pretty much worked through lunch and didn't leave until after 10PM. Yes, you read that right, it was a 14 hour day. As soon as I got home I crawled into bed and snapped a pic.

October 28, 2010- Day 120

Yeah! Tonight was pumpkin carving. Every year Kim, Manny, Crista, Phil, and I carve our pumpkins at the kitchen table and I am usually the last one to finish my pumpkin. Last year I did an awful job but this year I think I did pretty good. We bought the books with the pumpkin patterns and got to work! I think everyone did a great job. You'll see the pumpkins on Halloween so stay tuned.

October 27, 2010- Day 119

WHOOOooo HAWWWW. That is supposed to be a scary laugh. I stopped by the Halloween store to get a few items for my costume. I can't tell you what I'm going to be. You might see a pic or two of that after Halloween! Kim noticed the awesome skulls. Thanks Kim again for helping me out today!

October 26, 2010- Day 118

After work today I went to my aunt & uncle's house for dinner and wine. Dinner was great. Thanks Aunt Cheryl! Caydence is my aunt & uncle's granddaughter.  Look how cute she is! Brittney, Josh, & Caydence arrived later. Caydence seemed surprise to have company. She quickly ran to Papa and  checked us out from the safety of his lap.  We quickly became friends again after she discovered I had a purse full of miscellaneous items!

October 25, 2010- Day 117

I drove around after work and found this abandoned looking barn.  I wish I could have gotten closer but I didn't think it would be smart to jump the fence.

October 24, 2010- Day 116

It has been a busy birthday weekend. My brother's birthday was Friday, my grandma's birthday was Saturday, and my aunt's birthday is today! I went to see my grandma today after taking Kim & Manny's save the date pic! Her dog Max is so cute even with his piercing bark! Crista was getting him to calm down and he became very interested in the sounds coming from my camera.

October 23, 2010- Day 115

Today was busy and I loved every minute of it.  We went to 2 stores in the search of a wedding dress for Kim. I had no idea the search would be so intense and fun. I'm learning a lot about dresses and styles and silhouettes. The chair below was at one of the bridal shops. I want it! I think it's so cute!

October 22, 2010- Day 114

Friday was my little brother's birthday. He turned 16. I can't believe it. Unfortunately I didn't get to see him. He's in Ohio visiting friends. Friday was a long day at work. I decided it was a must to get a drink after work. Before I went out I stopped by the mall and snapped a pic.

October 21, 2010- Day 113

I went wedding dress shopping with Kim tonight. She found quite a few beautiful dresses. The store was nice and they had a large selection. It's so exciting seeing her try on dresses! And of course I couldn't show you anything that she tried on!

October 20, 2010- Day 112

There are certain images that I want to capture throughout this project and this is one of them! I drive over this road everyday going to work. For the longest time I've wanted to capture it. My plan was to find it once fall came around. Getting this shot wasn't easy. This road is quite curvy. I had to wait for the traffic to be clear on both sides and for the cars to be completely out of the shot. Each time I ran out and took as many shots as possible checking behind me as I shot. I didn't want to get hit by a car! It was kind of stressful but worth it!

October 19, 2010- Day 111

It was a long day! I went looking for Halloween costumes, no luck. Then I finished a photo slideshow for my mom's friend. It was quite late before I took my photo. Below is a shot glass checker set. It was a birthday gift a couple of years back and it hasn't gotten any use.

October 18, 2010- Day 110

Met Kim at the mall today after work. I don't get the fashion!

October 17, 2010- Day 109

Aunt Carole's birthday continues! We went horseback riding for her birthday present. It was an adventure. My horse, Bueno was not bueno.  I was waiting for everyone to get saddled up when the owner walked my horse away from this pavilion. She explained "This is his herd and he needs to see it." Fine with me. Until Bueno noticed feed and walked over to it. I pulled back on the reins with no luck. Bueno then proceeded to kick the horse that was eating and began to eat! I was a little nervous after that. But the trail ride was awesome! I hope everyone had a good time! I think Bueno liked the carrots that Aunt Carole brought for all of the horses. I took this as he was looking for more treats from me!

October 16, 2010- Day 108

This weekend we went to Brazil, Indiana for one of the Covered Bridge Festivals. When I say we I am referring to Kim, Manny, Crista, Phil, Maria, Roman, Nina, Chris, Ashleigh, & Todd.  Yes, we all made the 3 hour trip! My mom works at the same one every year.  At the festival vendors sell everything from hair extensions to lawn ornaments. I even tried a fried Oreo. This was not the weekend to eat healthy. A few others ordered fried Milky Ways and fried Snickers.
I wanted to capture the festival but decided instead to focus on the beautiful scenery.

October 15, 2010- Day 107

After a long day at work it was nice to see the ladies for a coffee. The little shop on Hampton was so cute! It was very European. I need to go back to Italy!! I had a mocha something! It was good and sweet.

October 14, 2010- Day 106

I celebrated Mel's birthday tonight with her beautiful daughter Maliyah. You may remember the little cutie from the summer. We went to a Cards game. Check out the previous posts if you somehow forgot! M&M were making funny faces and this was Maliyah's turn at smiling with big wide goofy eyes as Mel did before her. If you ask me, Maliyah is just to darn cute to look goofy, but Mel you can look goofy all you want! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELODY!!!! Welcome to the 25 Club! We can stay this age forever, right?

October 13, 2010- Day 105

It was a nice day after work. Went to happy hour with my sister and cousin. Jessie always pours fun shots! This was her second round of the night. Each time she stacks the shot classes a little differently.  And each time she pours them flawlessly. Thanks Jessie!

October 12, 2010- Day 104

I went for a drive down 21 looking for a picture. I had no idea what I was looking for or what I would find. I ended up driving on a windy two lane road with my Garmin constantly re-routing itself for Home.  I eventually turned down a road that was no outlet.  I see this staring at me. I couldn't believe that I found the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge. I wanted to make a trip here one day, I just didn't know that day would be today.

Dinner tonight was Orange Roughy with Mango Salsa and brown rice.

October 10, 2010- Day 102

Happy Birthday Aunt Carole!  We went out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse. After lunch, the waitress asked Aunt Carole to saddle up! The waiters and waitress did their birthday cheer and asked Aunt Carole to wave around the napkin when we all said 'Yee-haw'.  I think she had a pretty good time!

October 9, 2010- Day 101

How do I capture Oktoberfest? That was the question I kept asking. I went out with work friends, Kim's and mine. We started in Soulard then took a shuttle to the festivities. It was crowded! There were beer tents everywhere and the wonderful smell of German food surrounded us as we walked around Lyon Park. Just so you know, the potato pancakes are awesome!
We couldn't pass up these beer steins! Kim's friend, Kim was joking around but I thought it was an awesome way to capture the day. Looking into an empty glass.  Beer, food, friends, it was all a good time!!

October 8, 2010- Day 100

I went Cosmic bowling last night w/ a few friends. I had a good time but did the absolute worst! I never broke 100 but everyone sure did! Let's just agree that bowling isn't my thing.

October 7, 2010- Day 99

OK great night. So I soooo miss Jen Coop! ( You might remember her from a previous pic, remember those hot sexy heels? better scroll down and find them, they were her shoes!!!)  Kim and I met up with her at a Wine Bar in between our places. I was so excited!! I feel like we haven't talked in forever! I wanted to capture reaction. Unfortunately, I didn't capture the exact moment, I did capture the moment RIGHT after. Tonight Kim asked Jen if she would be a bridesmaid in her wedding. As you can tell by Jen's reaction, she said yes!

October 6, 2010- Day 98

I had to return my rental car today which was going to make me late to work. I got up early so I could get my picture!  I really wanted to capture the fog. Lately I've noticed the fog drifting on the Meramec as I drive over the river in the morning. However, I didn't think it would be safe parking on the shoulder of 55 at 7 in the morning. Fog + Me taking a picture on the side of the highway does not = a good time. So instead I headed down Telegraph to the Meramec. Yep it surrounds me! What do you think?  It sooo feels like Halloween doesn't it?

My grandma's pretty little vase.

October 4, 2010- Day 96

Oh grocery shopping. It's nice to go in the middle of the week when it's not busy. I was so excited to make chicken wraps for lunch this week. I get home and start making my lunch for tomorrow and what do you know? I forgot the dang tortillas.  Last time I went shopping I forgot them too!  They need to be in the bread aisle.

October 3, 2010- Day 95

Today was the perfect day for a winery trip. So that's what we did.  Winery trip with my mom and sisters. I felt like HELLO fall is here. I wore my cute boots, sweater, and jacket. The wine warmed me up too.  And check out the view. Not bad, huh?

October 2, 2010- Day 94

Went to the Chili Cookoff today in Belleville. I really don't like chili but the fireman's chili was awesome. I don't know if you've been there but it's neat. They close down Main street and vendors line up their tents that sell everything from chili to Krispy Kreme burgers. That's right, it's a burger patty with cheese and bacon. The "bread" would be the donut. Todd I still can't believe you ate that!

October 1, 2010- Day 93

Getting ready for a night out!

September 30, 2010- Day 92

Going to the Cardinals game tonight I thought for sure my pic today would be something to represent the St Louis Cardinals.  But what have I learned folks? Expect the unexpected. I sit down to find out Alice in Chains is sitting a row ahead of me.  I immediately text my cousin, Tarisa who absolutely loves them! I knew my mission, autographs and pics please!!! I couldn't let T down. I was so nervous. There is something uncomfortable and awkward about asking someone for their autograph and picture. Around the third or fourth inning I psyched myself up enough to ask one of the band's managers if I could get a pic. (See the bald guy below).
Mike was the nicest guy ever!  He happily obliged. I thanked him again and he said "This is the best part, I love meeting fans." Cool man!
I want to thank Nina who took these first 2 pics. Whoo whooo! You're awesome girl!
And to be fair since I said I would be taking a pic everyday for this next year, I took the last pic.

Getting autographs for my cousin, T!
