July 13, 2010- Day 13

Ok I must admit I was kinda scared to take these pics. I was so paranoid a train was going to come through. So I was a little jumpy. With the curve of the track I was afraid that I wouldn't hear the train. And in this area there were signs posted that read "No Horn Zone". I thought great, I'm going to get run over.

July 12, 2010- Day 12

Wanna play? I'm actually terrible at pool. I can't aim and I don't have patience so I guess thats not a good combo for trying to learn how to play! Anyway if I can't play, at least I can take pics!

July 11, 2010- Day 11

Candlelight. Quite. Relaxing. Nice end to this weekend!! Right? I've always loved this little thing. It's unique & it reminds me to by more candles!!

July 10, 2010- Day 10

"Like Strawberry wine/Seventeen/The hot july moon/Saw everything/My first taste of love/Oh bittersweet/Like green on the vines/ Like Strawberry Wine....... Sorry, had to sing that song.(Aren't you going to go find it & listen to it now?) Doesn't this look good? Let me tell you it was! It was the perfect way to end the day. W/ great friends, good food, and a glass of wine. I couldn't ask for more!!!

July 9, 2010- Day 9

So today was Friday finally!!! A good time as always. I was off work @ a decent hour, in time to start Happy Hour!!! 1/2 of drinks and food. Heck yeah! As my cousin Tarisa, and I discussed, I love Happy hour b/c I'm always so happy!!!

July 8, 2010- Day 8

Take me out to the ballgame/take me out to the..... OK enough singing.... I wanted to capture the field from a different point of view. I tried a couple different angles but liked this one the best. So funny story. I was snapping pictures and didn't noticed the two groundskeepers that were watching me. After a while, one shouted out, "What are you doing? Taking pictures of how crooked the lines are?" The other guy hollered "Shut up!" I guess he got embarrassed. I just laughed and said, "Kinda, I trying to shoot something interesting". I mean really, the lines aren't that bad are they?

July 7, 2010- Day 7

Wow, it's already been a week today that I started my project!! I can't believe it. Today I came across the saddest sight, which would be the picture below. An abandoned pool. Maybe I'm a little weird but I like old vacant buildings and things. The weird thing about this was, it was in an active park. A new playground was nearby yet the pool was out of order. I could almost hear the sounds there, little kids yelling, the splash of the water as people jumped off into the deep end, the smell of hot dogs. Mmm and that pool smell, what is it chlorine and something? Right?

July 6, 2010- Day 6

Today was a hard one, I'm not going to lie. All day I thought what can I take, what do I want to shoot? I went out for some inspiration. I really didn't have much of a plan. Just drove til I ended up at a park. The sun was slowly starting to set because I waited too late!! I took a breath, cleared my head, and tried to relax. Anyway after all that I think I got a good one!

July 5, 2010- Day 5

When today started, I wanted to capture the heat. Well the day progressed and that didn't happen. Instead I chilled by the pool. Hey its my day off! Actually if I want to show you heat, I should show you my sunburned arms & legs!! I'm a little on the red side.... After the sun today I went looking for something interesting. Still kinda looking for heat even though the sun was almost setting. Does this pic count as heat? It is hot colors!!

July 4th, 2010- Day 4

Happy Birthday America!!!! Well I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July. I know I did!! I was able to enjoy the day's festivities. You know, washers, pool volleyball, all the usual. And Mmmm, hot dogs, grilled chicken earlier in the day and after the fireworks tonight it was watermelon!! I did watch an amazing firework show that beats anything downtown offers. (Shout out to Goetzie & his neighborhood!) And I got the shots that I wanted!!! It was so hard to pick only 1 and since it IS America's Birthday, I'm uploading 3!!

July 3, 2010 - Day 3

Today I wanted to get OUT. It's so amazingly hot outside but I needed some fresh (humid) St. Louis air. So I headed to Tower Grove. I'm slowly realizing that I like macro, close up photography. Hmmm maybe I should look @ lenses.... No let's stay focused on my task and working with what I have which is plenty!!! I walked around a bit and thought these fences are awesome! I love the gold painted pointy tops.

July 2, 2010- Day 2

On my lunch breaks I usually go to a park near my work and enjoy the weather. Well today I wanted to work on action shots. So I played a bit and worked on freezing the shot by using a fast shutter speed and blurring the action by using a slower shutter speed. I went back and forth but wanted a blurred look so I slowed the shutter speed and Voila....

365 Day Project- July 1st 2010- Day 1

Ok guys & gals, this is it. I'm starting a new project called the 365 Day Project. I am going to take and upload one picture everyday for a year. My goal is to upload 1 picture each day, no matter what!! I'm not setting a theme or anything so this will really be about what or who is in my life at the time. Exciting right?? I can't wait either!!! So I'm starting tonight, it's before midnight so it still counts!!!

Day 1- July 1st, 2010:

LOVE. A four letter word that means so much to so many. I LOVE love. Who doesn't? To be loved by friends, family, & that special someone is amazing. This small trinket has an even deeper meaning for me. Growing up I remember it at my Grandma Jan's house. It sat on the kitchen counter and held rubber bands of all things! I always LOVED it. Well my Grandma passed away this year. I LOVED her sooo much. When we were sorting through some things, I came across this and almost cried! I opened it up and what do you know, it still has rubber bands in it. Now I have it and I really believe the saying on it is true!!

Evan's 2nd Birthday

Happy Birthday Evan!!! Evan's 2nd birthday was celebrated with wonderful friends and family (including me, he's my little cousin!). Evan is the sweetest little boy and he absolutely loves the camera along with trains and toy balls!! Any time I held my camera up he always gave a shy little smile. Love you guys!!!

Caydence's 1st Birthday

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear CAYDENCE!!!! Happy Birthday to YOU! So my dear cousin (Well she is my cousin's daughter so what are we second cousins?) turned ONE recently. She was dressed adorably in a long sleeve baby pink shirt, pink tutu, pink tights, sliver flats and a tiny pink bow to top off her look. (Shout out to Aunt Cheryl for finding such a cute ensemble!) I would have to say that the best part of the party was watching as Caydence had her first bites of the beautiful hot pink cake decorated with bright blue and purple hearts. And I think Caydence's favorite part was the cake too. Check out the pics and see if you agree! :)
