November 26, 2010- Day 149

Unfortunately I had to work today and because NOONE else had to work I didn't have to fight the normal traffic. I went to Starbucks to burn up some time and on the way back I pulled over to get what you see below. I've always thought it's kind of odd that there is a pasture right off of Dougherty Ferry but hey, it worked out for me! 

November 25, 2010- Day 148

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I hope you had a great one! I enjoyed seeing most of my family, eating, and chatting it up with everyone! I have so many reasons to be thankful this year. I'm thankful for my friends, family, & my health.  And thank you Crista for helping me take this picture!

November 24, 2010- Day 147

Had sushi tonight @ the Drunken Fish. I love the kamikaze roll! I have to say tonight the fog is awesome. I don't like driving in it but I do like taking pictures of it!

November 23, 2010- Day 146

I worked late again tonight and the sun was long gone by the time I headed down the stairs. It's amazing that I've run past these bright red pipes but never really paid much attention to them until tonight. Hey, at least the color cheers up the stairwell!

I wanted a rain lightening shot. But unfortunately I didn't get it! :( Booo!!! So I settled for a few rain clouds.

Can I just say I love holiday coffee? Starbucks has busted out their selection. Tonight I ordered Caramel Brulée. Yum!

Mark*Mia*Melissa H- Family Time!!!

Here are the H Family!  Mark is my brother-in-law's brother, Melissa is his lovely wife, and Mia is the cutie in the middle! They are like family to me too! Yet I was still nervous for photos! Mia definitely lightened the mood. She would say, "Hey Kelly, look I can do this!" She would pose and smile. I think we definitely have a future model in the fam! Mia even suggested ideas for photos. It was too cute. I had a great time with you all! I hope you enjoy!

November 20, 2010- Day 143

November 19, 2010- Day 142

GO ST. LOUIS BLUES!!!! The game was awesome. It was a lot of work cheering for all the goals! My favorite sound is the BOONNNG of the goal horn. I got to hear plenty of that at the game! Kim and I had seats in the section with free food and drinks! What's better then amazing hockey tickets, free food and drinks, and a win? And a fight to top it off!

November 18, 2010- Day 141

Tonight was.....interesting. Headed to happy hour to meet up with my cousin, Tarisa. We were catching up and I decided to take a picture. GUESS WHAT? I made the worst mistake. I left my charged battery at home on the charger while my camera was left on completely draining my existing battery. I called Creve Coeur Camera. A new battery, at least $40. Tarisa offered to wait while I drove to check out new batteries. Instead the lovely peeps @ CCC charged my battery for free. THANK YOU!!! And I got my shot tonight.

November 17, 2010- Day 140

WOW the selection. After work I stopped by ITAP with Ally for a drink. I like the selection. I think we figured over 200 beers to choose from.  Not bad! My fave as called "A Little Somethin Somethin". 

November 16, 2010- Day 139

This took longer then I thought! I got everything I needed, set up my shot and a couple hours later here is the good stuff. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but it is close enough. I want to attempt this again sometime. Maybe when I get my patience back!

November 15, 2010- Day 138

No I didn't try to ruin my camera tonight. I wanted to try something different. However, I must admit shooting one-handed, with water, while holding a glass....not easy. Next time I'll try to find an assistant!

November 14, 2010- Day 137

My great uncle who has passed gave this to me for Christmas a couple of years back. It always makes me smile when I see it! Miss you Uncle Gus!

November 13, 2010- Day 136

Kim and I took Aunt Carole to a winery today. After a tasting Kim and I each bought a bottle. I was in the mood for a warm red wine! Norton did the trick. We also ordered toasted ravioli and bread with olive oil. It was nice to chill out and relax today!

November 12, 2010- Day 135

T.G.I.F!!!! What a week! I was so excited for a chill night. Margaritas and dinner waited for me! Thank you Crista! Mmmmm they were good. We had a good sister night, Kim, Crista, & I. Margaritas, dinner, and a chick flick. I love the movie- Steel Magnolias.  One of my favorite lines is: "Well, you know what they say: if you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me!"

November 11, 2010- Day 134

I would like to start out by thanking all of the Veterans out there. Thank you for fighting for my freedom. Thank you for everything that you have worked for and fought for. 

I stopped by my aunt & uncle's house tonight. Uncle Bill is a Vietnam vet. He doesn't ever talk about those days. I asked a few questions tonight but he doesn't seem to open to discussing the topic so I left it alone. Thank you Uncle Bill for fighting for me and all other Americans. Love you!

November 10, 2010- Day 133

I had an eye exam today. It started off a bit rocky. The receptionist started by telling me my exam wasn't until December 1st. Check you book again lady, my exam is today.  She then tells me I'm not due for an exam til Dec 1st. Check it again. I have new insurance and I'm a new client. After more and more waiting I finally get called back by a newbie nurse lady. She is fumbling around and asking a lot of questions to the other ladies how to document my info. I'm patient reminding myself to breathe. But then she pokes, actually pokes my eye with this light! I'm done. Where is the doctor?

I did some cleaning today. I finally decided to swap my summer clothes for my winter clothes. I have 1/2 a Rubbermaid tub of shoes! Goodbye summer heels and hello winter boots!

November 7, 2010- Day 130

I had another fun session today with my cousin Brittney, her boyfriend Josh, and their adorable daughter Caydence.  You may remember this little cutie from previous posts. We started out at Forest Park and ended in Tower Grove. Caydence was full of energy and really loved all the trees and leaves. I can't wait to post more pics!

November 6, 2010- Day 129

I met up with Mark, Melissa, and cute little Mia for a family session. Mark happens to be my brother-in-law's brother. I love family! We had a lot of fun. Thank you guys for walking all over the park!  Mia is so cute. She would make goofy faces and was suggesting places for us to go and take pictures! Stay tuned for more pics of this beautiful family!

♥♥♥♥♥♥Zana & Rick....ENGAGED ♥♥♥♥♥♥

I was excited and nervous when my friend Zana asked if I would take her and Rick's engagement pictures. This was my first engagement session! Zana was prepared. She had each location picked out, SLU area, the coffee shop where they first met (awwww), and downtown.

Zana & Rick are adorable together! They are so sweet and kind to each other. If you need to see a couple completely in love and completely happy it's Rick & Zana. They didn't need much direction either. Rick kiss her, didn't have to say that. Zana lean your head on his shoulder, nope she already did that. It's like they instinctively knew how to look cute!

To get this shot was kind of funny, kind of scary. We had to wait for traffic to be completely clear and once the light turned red we ran out into the street to get the shot. It had to be quick! And don't they look every bit of calm?

November 4, 2010- Day 127

I wanted to find fall today. I had a shot in mind and I found it! I completely back tracked to get it too. I was headed home and noticed this trail from the highway. I was already past the exit but took a few side roads to come back and find the entrance to this park. I'm not going to lie, it was kind of scary being on this trail... alone... with dusk coming quickly. It felt creepy there. Every time the leaves rustled or I heard something near me I jumped. 

November 3, 2010- Day 126

I headed to my friend Zana's place after work. I haven't seen her in a while. It was nice to catch up with food and coffee! Her dog Bobby is adorable! I think he has people eyes! He looks like a little old man! Bobby was the perfect puppy model. I swear he was posing for me.

Happy Halloween everyone! I wanted to share our pumpkins with you! From left to right Phil carved the Blue note, Crista carved the surprise face, I completed the Sleepy Hollow pumpkin, Kim finished the moonlit bat one, Manny had the fiery skull pumpkin and Phil carved the werewolf. I love Halloween! We had a family last year that mentioned how they look forward to seeing our pumpkins because they are always awesome. I don't think we let them down this year!

October 30, 2010- Day 122

So I had to work again this morning but afterwards I had to get some FRESH air. I headed to Tower Grove with my fellow co-worker, Ally for a much needed break. She pointed out this archway and I loved the tree! It's gorgeous. I wish we had a prettier fall! But if you look around you can find a few amazing trees!

October 29, 2010- Day 121

After a looooooong day of work I was completely exhausted on Friday. I had absolutely no time to get out and get a pic. I pretty much worked through lunch and didn't leave until after 10PM. Yes, you read that right, it was a 14 hour day. As soon as I got home I crawled into bed and snapped a pic.
